FAQ

How long does setup take, and what do you need from me?

Most venues are live within 48 hours. Setup isn’t an IT project. We need three things from you — your hours, your booking rules and your menu — and you flip a forwarding setting on your existing phone line. There’s no hardware, no number to port, and no rewiring of how your restaurant runs.

What we need from you

Three things, and you already have them all:

  • Your hours — including any quirks like a closed Monday or split lunch and dinner service, so Bella only books times you actually trade.
  • Your booking rules — party sizes, how far ahead you take bookings, deposits or set menus, where a large group should become a human callback.
  • Your menu — so if you’re using VoxOrder for takeaway, Bella knows what you sell.

Give us those and Bella is set up to sound like your venue, not a generic bot.

How forwarding is switched on

Your existing number is forwarded to Bella using a setting on your current phone service — either always, or only when a call rings out. It’s a change on your side that takes minutes, and we walk you through it. Because it’s forwarding, your guests keep ringing the number they know and nothing physical changes on your premises.

Why 48 hours, not weeks

The reason it’s quick is that there’s nothing to install and nothing to migrate. You’re not moving your data, changing your POS or training staff on new software — you’re pointing your phone at a host who already knows how to answer it. The time is mostly us tuning Bella to your hours, rules and menu so she’s right from the first call.

Start as backup, widen later

If you’d rather ease in, start with Bella answering only the calls your team misses, then move to every call once you’ve heard her handle real ones. Setup is the same either way.

To get started, book a demo and you’ll hear Bella first. For the forwarding mechanics, read how to forward your restaurant phone to an AI host; for the product, the VoxTable page.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can my restaurant go live?
Most venues are live within 48 hours. There's nothing to install and no number to port, so most of the time is us tuning Bella to your hours, rules and menu.
What exactly do you need from me to set up?
Three things you already have: your trading hours (including quirks), your booking rules, and your menu if you're using takeaway ordering. That's enough for Bella to sound like your venue.
Do I need to install any hardware?
No. You forward your existing phone number to Bella with a setting on your current phone service. Nothing physical changes on your premises and guests keep ringing the same number.
Why is it so much faster than other systems?
Because nothing is migrated — you're not moving data, changing your POS or retraining staff. You're pointing your phone at a host who already knows how to answer it.
Can I start with Bella on backup only?
Yes. You can have her answer only the calls your team misses at first, then switch to every call once you've heard her handle real ones. Setup is the same either way.
